Subaru Canada has unveiled the revamped 2013 Legacy sedan featuring a redesigned front end including new headlights, grille and front bumper.
Featuring an symmetrical full-time all-wheel drive (AWD) option as standard, the new sedan is offered with two powertrain options which include a 3.6-litre H6 engine or a new double-overhead camshaft (DOHC) 2.5-litre, four-cylinder BOXER engine.
According to the company the new engine gives the vehicle an output of 173hp and 174lb-ft of torque when compared to the earlier model's 170 hp and 170 lb-ft.
The new 2013 Legacy 2.5i variant is offered with a choice between a standard 6-speed manual transmission and the second-generation Lineartronic continuously variable transmission (CVT).
Subaru said that the models equipped with the CVT also feature a 6-speed manual mode with steering wheel paddle shifters, which enable the users to manage the transmission through six pre-set ratios.
The 2013 Legacy 3.6R Limited will be powered by a 3.6-litre 6-cylinder SUBARU BOXER engine mated to a 5-speed Electronic Direct Control Automatic Transmission with Manual Mode (5EAT) which will generate an output of 256-hp.
The Subaru Legacy models featuring Lineartronic CVT are expected to deliver a fuel efficiency of 6.0L / 100km on the highway and 8.4 L / 100 km in the city, while a 6-speed manual transmission equipped variants will offer a fuel efficiency of 7.0L / 100km on the highway and 9.8L / 100km in the city.
Features of the new sedan include new eyesight driver assist system and electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), vehicle dynamics control system (VDC) and anti-lock braking system (ABS).
Price range of the new 2013 Legacy sedan ranges from $28,495 to $39,995.
