Global technology solutions provider JBT’s FoodTech business will supply and install an Automatic Batch Retort System for a North American food processor.
JBT FoodTech business has signed a contract valued more than $4m with the food processor in this regard.
According to JBT, the new system will enable the food company to process vegetable products in unconventional packaging.
JBT FoodTech's Food Processing Systems Division vice president and general manager Steve Smith said, "We are very pleased to be providing JBT's leading sterilization technologies for another alternative packaging application."
The installation project is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2014.
JBT designs, manufactures, tests and services systems and products for regional and multi-national industrial food processing customers through its JBT FoodTech segment.
