Taiwan-based solar-grade crystalline silicon wafer maker Green Energy Technology (GET) suffered a net loss of NT$131 million (US$4.3 million) for the first quarter, an improvement from the net loss of NT$671 million posted for the preceding quarter, according to the company.
GET steadily increased quotes for solar-grade silicon wafers and utilized about 95% of its production capacity in the first quarter, the company pointed out. GET has capitalized on its high-efficiency solar-grade silicon wafer technology to help Apollo Solar Energy, its subsidiary PV module maker, increase market competitiveness.
