The Samsung Galaxy S6 could feature a new, curved design, newly issued invites to the company’s MWC 2015 press conference have teased.
With the heavily rumoured Galaxy S6 widely expected to be heading for an MWC unveiling next month, official invites to the upcoming event have now been issued, pointing to an innovative advancement with the company’s future phones.
Although the Galaxy S6 has not been mentioned by name, the teasing invite, seen by SamMobile, features the silhouetted edge of a kinked handset alongside the strapline “What’s Next.”
While the Samsung Galaxy S6 has been widely tipped to adopt a new, high-end design, this has, to date, been expected to focus on more premium materials as opposed to a radical new form factor.
A Galaxy S6 Edge, however, has also been tipped for release.
This secondary device is believed to echo the Galaxy Note Edge with a side-encompassing wrap-around display.
The invite has revealed Samsung will hold its MWC press conference in Barcelona on Sunday, March 1.
The annual tech show is scheduled to run in the Spanish city between March 2 and 5.
Potential design advancements aside, the Samsung Galaxy S6 is expected to line up as a true powerhouse of the smartphone space.
According to recent reports, the Galaxy S5 follow-on will enter the realms of reality with an octa-core Exynos processor in tow alongside 3GB of RAM and a 20-megapixel primary camera.
Far from the only big name handset expected to make an appearance in the coming weeks, the iPhone 6 challenger looks set to share the MWC limelight with the likes of the Sony Xperia Z4 and LG G4.
