OSI Systems' Optoelectronics and Manufacturing division has won orders of approximately $2m for various optical sensors from other healthcare OEM providers.
OSI Systems is involved in designing, manufacturing as well as selling specialized electronic systems and components for medical applications to healthcare, homeland security, defense and aerospace industries.
The company said it implements a strategy of expansion by leveraging its electronics and contract manufacturing capabilities into selective end product markets through organic growth and acquisitions.
OSI Systems chief executive officer Deepak Chopra said, "Our optical sensor technology combined with our ability to design and package complete assemblies are key attributes desired by customers in the medical device industry."
