Sefar Acquires 70% of Sider Arc F&M Srl. to Advance in Polyamide Spinning Technology

Sefar acquires 70% of Sider Arc F&M Srl. to advance in polyamide spinning technology. In 2009 Sefar took the decision to integrate backwards into the manufacturing of mono- filaments.

The Sefar Yarn Division has in the meantime become a strategically important part of the business.

In order to assure the leadership in the production of fine and medium polyamide yarn, Sefar has acquired a majority share in its longtime supplier Sider Arc F&M Srl., located in Cornaredo/Italy.

This acquisition complements the two-step spinning process at Monosuisse Switzerland with the one-step spinning technology of Sider Arc.

With this acquisition it secures the production of fine and medium polyamide fibers for the next decades and will replace the older two-step production equipment at Monosuisse over time.

The change-over will take place in close contact with its customers and the endusers of its woven products.
