German car manufacturer Porsche has launched a new power enhancement kit for its 2013 911 Carrera S sports car.
The core elements of the Powerkit include special cylinder heads with different camshafts and a new variable resonance intake system design with six air flaps and a resonance flap, Sport Chrono package with dynamic engine mounts which will offer the vehicle an enhanced power.
According to the carmaker, the new kit will enhance the dynamic properties of the supercar including the increase in output from the same 3.8 litre boxer engine to 430hp (316 kW) from the earlier 400hp (294 kW).
The new powerkit also allows the sports Coupé to sprint from zero to 100 km/h with PDK in Sport Plus mode within 4 seconds and reach a top speed to 306 km/h with PDK and to 308 km/h when mated to a seven-speed manual gearbox.
Porsche claims that the 7% more power has not affected the fuel consumption values in the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).
The 911 Carrera S sports car is also being offered with an aerodynamic exterior.
