About 180 companies from 14 countries are participating in the 12th Vietnam International Textile and Garment Industry Exhibition (VTG) being organized by Vinexad, along with three other associates from Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Materials, accessories, machinery and equipments for the textile and garment industry are being showcased at the expo that would run till November 24.
Companies from China, India, Canada, Hong Kong, Germany and Japan are among the firms displaying their products that include embroidery and sewing threads, yarn processing equipments, spinning, weaving and knitting machines and chemicals and dyes.
Alongside the expo, fashion shows would also be organized by the members of the HCM City Garment, Textile, Embroidery and Knitting Association.
Also, there would be seminars on how the entrepreneurs should update to expand their export markets and improve their material and accessories sourcing.
The expo is likely to attract around 12,000 visitors.
