Industrial Production in The Largest Latin American Country Fell 2 Percent in May

Brazil's national statistics agency (IBGE) reported Tuesday that following a 1.9 percent increase in April (revised), industrial production in the largest Latin American country fell 2 percent in May compared to April, although rose 1.4 percent from May 2012. The cumulative rate of industrial production through May is up 1.7 percent.

Production also contracted 0.3 percent in Q1 from the previous three months and the quarterly moving average was 0.2 percent.
