RICHMOND, Va. — Top 15 bedding producer Symbol Mattress has promoted Ron Clevenger to president and Mike McQuiston to executive vice president. Charles Neal, president of Symbol and a director since 1983, has been named chairman.
Neal succeeds Gordon Wallace, who will remain on the Symbol board as chairman emeritus.
Clevenger is a 40-year industry veteran who most recently was Symbol's executive vice president. McQuiston, who joined Symbol in 2010, was previously with Leggett & Platt's lumber division. He was vice president at Symbol.
"We are very fortunate to have experienced individuals of Ron's and Mike's caliber, who understand all facets of the business, to lead the company," said Neal. "Their contributions to the company have been significant and they have been instrumental in positioning the company for future growth."
