JFC International Is Recalling Its Furikake-Seto Fumi 1.7oz. as The Product

JFC International, a California-based food company, is recalling its Furikake-Seto Fumi 1.7oz. as the product contains egg yolk, soybeans and wheat which are not declared not the label, according to the US Food and Drug and Administration (FDA).

The recall was initiated after the company discovered that the product was distributed in a packaging that did not reveal the presence of eggs, soybeans and wheat. Further investigation showed that the problem was caused due to mislabeling during packaging process.

The recalled product is packaged in a clear glass jar with a plastic lid, bears an UPC code 0 11152 41464, lot code/ best before date of 04 May 2014.

JFC International warned consumers intolerant to eggs, soybeans and wheat not to consume this product as it may result in serious or life threatening reaction and advised consumers to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.

There have been reported illnesses associated with the consumption of the product being recalled.
