Parquet and wood flooring manufacturers belonging to the German Parquet Industry Federation (VDP) booked another slight decline in output in the fourth quarter of 2012. This came after production increased in each of the first three quarters. Manufacturing grew 4.7 % to 2.435m m2 between January and March 2012. The Federation reported a 3.3 % increase to 2.453m m2 in the second quarter and a 4.3 % rise to 2.298m m2 in the third quarter. Production held virtually constant in the fourth quarter, but was 0.7 % below the prior-year stretch at 2.300m m2.
