The toy retail giant has teamed with the Pittsburgh-based start-up PieceMaker Technologies to pilot the initiative at the Toys R Us locations in Cranberry Township and Totowa ahead of the infamous Black Friday sales.

The PieceMaker Factory will allow users to create custom inventory on demand, ranging from toys to wearables, offering "a factory within the store."

Biz Journals reports that custom items will cost about $10 each and will take less than 30 minutes to print at the site of purchase.

Meanwhile, PieceMaker CEO and co-founder, Arden Rosenblatt, has hinted that eventually he would like to the 3D printing kiosks across every city, state and country.
