GE Healthcare has chosen Fluke Biomedical's pocket-sized PS320 fetal simulator to simulate both fetal and maternal ECG as well as uterine activity.
The PS320 fetal simulator signals various physiological parameters, patterns and conditions and has the ability to simulate twins.
In addition to preventive maintenance testing, troubleshooting and repairs, the PS320 can be used for providing training for labor-and-delivery staff to recognize normal and abnormal responses between mother, fetus and monitor.
Fluke Biomedical marketing director Christopher Rayburn said the company is delighted to hear GE Healthcare has selected the PS320 fetal simulator to test their fleet of Corometrics 250, 250cx and 170 series fetal monitors.
"Our companies are both known for best-in-class equipment and time-tested dedication to patient safety," Rayburn added.
