US-based based laser processing and metal finishing company Northeast Laser & Electropolish has received ISO 13485:2003 certification from QMI-SAI Global registration services.
Northeast Laser & Electropolish offers laser marking, laser welding, laser cutting, electropolishing and passivating to several firms including medical device makers.
It has further extended its services by offering supply chain management and complete process validation.
Northeast Laser & Electropolish's founding partner Kurt England said that the company's supply chain management and contract manufacturing services have been steadily growing and so it became imperative to obtain ISO 13485 certification, especially to satisfy the needs of its growing medical device customer base.
"After receiving ISO 9001 certification in 2010, we challenged ourselves to tackle the additional requirements of ISO 13485."
"We feel that adding ISO 13485 certification, along with our validated lines and automation expertise, has positioned Northeast Laser to be a preferred manufacturing partner to current and future customers," England added.
