Police Have Raided Three More Premises in The UK

Police have raided three more premises in the UK as the investigation into the horsemeat contamination continues.

The UK Food Standards Agency said it joined police and local authority officials to swoop on a site in Hull and two in London.

"Computers and documentary evidence have been removed from these premises, as well as meat samples that have been taken for testing," the FSA said today (15 February).

Yesterday, three men were arrested on suspicion of fraud as part of the agency's investigation into the presence of horsemeat in the food chain.

Earlier today, the first set of results of industry-wide testing were published. The FSA said it received 29 positive results for horsemeat in beef products out of 2,501 tests.

The retail products that tested positive had already been announced and withdrawn from sale.

However, it emerged cottage pie served in schools and burgers in hospitals have tested positive.
