Mask-Arade Has Been Shortlisted in The National Nectar Business Small Business Awards 2014

Firm is in the running to win in either the Small Business of the Year category, or Home Grown Business of the Year,

Mask-arade has been shortlisted in the national Nectar Business Small Business Awards 2014.

The firm is now in the running to win in either the Small Business of the Year category, or Home Grown Business of the Year, both of which are judged by a panel of experts including star of BBC1’s The Apprentice, Karren Brady CBE.

The Awards celebrate the achievements of hard working small businesses and business people across the UK and if successful, Dean Walton, joint founder of Mask-arade, will win £2,000, 50,000 Nectar points and an invite to the Nectar Business Round Table event in September.

"Being shortlisted in the Nectar Business Small Business Awards is a great honour and will give the whole team here such a boost," said Walton.

"It recognises all the hard work that each staff member has put into the company.

"Attending the round table and being able to get first hand advice from the likes of Karren Brady about our business would be really valuable in taking us to the next level. The £2,000 prize money and 50,000 Nectar points will go towards expanding our range."

Will Shuckburgh, managing director of Nectar, added: “After six years of running these Awards we know that whilst the businesses may be small the results we celebrate are big.

"SMEs are the backbone of the UK economy and we are constantly impressed by the market leading ideas these awards showcase as well as the calibre of leadership that is highlighted. I'd urge every small business to get involved and shout about their success.

"This year there has been a 21 per cent increase in the number of entries, so competition is strong. The Small Business of the Year award looks for a small business able to demonstrate excellence and innovation in its field and the Home Grown Business of the Year category looks for a small sales-based business that has grown from humble beginnings; working and distributing from a domestic residence, into a successful small business.

"We wish all the shortlisted candidates, including Mask-arade, the best of luck in both categories.”
