Mexico Has Decided to Initiate an Administrative Review of The Countervailing Duty

Mexico's Ministry of Economy has announced that it has decided to initiate an administrative review of the countervailing duty (CVD) on imports of welded carbon steel connections from China.

In June this year, the Mexican steel producer Tubos de Acero de Mexico, SA (TAMSA) filed an application for the review of the countervailing duty which was originally imposed in 2004 and was decreased to $1.05/kg from $2.07/kg in 2009.

The countervailing duty review covers the period between April 1, 2013 and March 31, 2014.

The product subject to the administrative review currently falls under the Customs Tariff Statistics Position Number 7307.93.01.
