China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (April 1-7) the average steel price in China decreased by 0.1 percent compared to the previous week.
In particular, in the given week prices of 10 mm steel plate, 6.5 mm diameter high-speed wire rod and 1 mm cold rolled sheet decreased by 0.6 percent, 0.2 percent and 0.2 percent, all week on week.
In the week ending April 7, average prices of minerals in China remained unchanged compared to the previous week. Furthermore, the average prices of copper ore and lead ore declined by 1.8 percent and 0.4 percent, the average prices of iron ore and zinc ore remained unchanged, while the prices of tungsten ore and molybdenum ore increased by 1.7 percent and 0.6 percent, all compared to the previous week.
Meanwhile, in the given week, average prices of energy in China were down 0.3 percent week on week. The average prices of coke, raw coal and crude oil decreased by one percent, 0.3 percent and 0.1 percent respectively, all on week-on-week basis.
