According to the statistics provided by the Turkish Steel Pipe Manufacturers Association (CEBID), in July this year Turkey's total steel pipe exports amounted to 150,000 metric tons, increasing by 8.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and down 18 percent compared to June. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $139.6 million, rising 6.4 percent compared to July 2012 but down 12.75 percent month on month.
Turkey's steel pipe exports in the January-July period amounted to 1.07 million mt, increasing 3.7 percent compared to the same period of 2012, while the value of these exports indicated a year-on-year decrease of 1.2 percent to $956 million.
Turkish steel pipe exports, which had started the year with a contraction, have indicated an uptrend in recent months, all year on year. In the first seven months of this year, the largest export markets for Turkish steel pipes were Iraq, Algeria and the US, while steel pipe demand fom the US and the EU countries maintained a falling trend.
