Nuance Communications has agreed to improve the Epson customer experience by offering its document imaging solutions via Epson distributors and resellers.
The new partnership is expected to bring cost synergies, decrease intervention and environmental impact, while offering high reliability of Epson printers.
It will also add the ability to securely control and manage print and capture to increase productivity while reducing operational expenses.
As per the partnership, Epson will sell and distribute Nuance eCopy ShareScan and Equitrac Office/Express software on Epson's innovative family of inkjet multifunction printers (MFPs) including its high-speed Workforce Enterprise WF-C20590 and LX-10000/7000 series of linehead technology for SMB and Corporate workgroups.
Epson will also add Nuance OmniPage SDK into its scanning applications for better OCR accuracy while automating document workflows of customers. It will also bundle Naunce Power PDF software for select line of its document scanners.
Workforce Enterprise/Pro printers will include Equitrac Office/Express and eCopy ShareScan. With Equitrac Office, businesses can have the flexibility to let their users print what they need and when they need in an intelligent way to print. This can reduce costs, make printing secure, while increasing customer satisfaction.
eCopy ShareScan is document capture software that works with collaboration work streams where team members have a common goal such a project. By using MFP, within the group’s area, eCopy can quickly and simply guide the members through the process of properly capturing documents.
