Arkansas' Contract Is Received by Networkfleet

Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department has selected Networkfleet to execute the GPS-based fleet tracking system and locate the vehicles in Arkansas, US.

The company is to track 2,400 vehicles which are used for highway maintenance, transportation, administration, construction and law enforcement in the state.

The National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) awarded the contract to the Networkfleet to use its services like engine diagnostics, installation, customer support, training and warranty.

Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department division head of equipment and procurement Danny Keene said: "Networkfleet will help us evaluate our vehicle usage, identify problems early in our maintenance program and reduce our overall operating costs."

Networkfleet president and CEO Keith Schneider said: "As the state looks to achieve accountability for fleet expenses, Networkfleet's comprehensive reporting capability will give the department the information it needs to understand how different vehicles in varying divisions and districts are being used, and how to apply that information to improve fleet efficiency."
