The Iron Horse Bicycle Classic Has Appointed Jeff Frost as Its New Executive Director

The Iron Horse Bicycle Classic has appointed Jeff Frost as its new executive director. The Iron Horse is Colorado's oldest cycling event and attracts 4,000 participants, including racers and tour participants. The event is held Memorial Day weekend.

Currently living in Tucson, Ariz., Frost will relocate to Durango for the new role.

"Changes at this level of our organization provide an opportunity to take a measured and informed look at our future, ultimately deciding upon what we'd like to add to the Memorial Day weekend," said Iron Horse founder Ed Zink, who also owns Durango bike shop Mountain Bike Specialists. "Jeff brings a national perspective to the Iron Horse along with a distinguished record of achievement. Those qualities make him the best-qualified person to help us plan for the future and transform our vision into reality. We're very excited to have him on board."

Frost is the founder of Blue Wolf Events, an event management and production company that has worked with the Sun Trust National Marathon in Washington, D.C.; the Sea Otter Classic in Monterey, Calif.; the Danskin Women's Triathlon Series events in Denver and New Jersey; and six National Mountain Bike Series events.
