The Event's Calendar Date Has Been Rescheduled for November 23 - 25

Beijing International UnionExpo Co. Ltd. Has been forced to postpone the Fenestration China 2012 tradeshow, which was scheduled November 8-10, as a result of travel restrictions the Chinese government has placed for the 18th National Peoples Congress, according to an event release. Although Fenestration China will still take place in Beijing at the China International Exhibition Center, the event's calendar date has been rescheduled for November 23 - 25. The event was originally set for November 8, which coincides with the National Peoples Congress, also held in Beijing, to elect a new president and other government officials. Currently Fenestration China has 426 registered exhibitors. "We haven't committed to sticking to it yet, " says Mark Imbrock, vice president of EDTM Inc., a potential exhibitor at the show. "To add insult to injury, they rescheduled the show over the Thanksgiving holiday. It adds a little more complexity to it as well. " National Peoples Congress reoccurs once every four years and is typically held in October. On September 29 event organizers received an official notification from the Chinese government that the National Congress was being rescheduled to November 8, the same date as the original event. According to Fenestration China organizers, during the election period the Beijing Municipality is "likely to implement traffic control measures in a very wide area, which will bring inconveniences for visitors to travel, so the organizer has made a decision to postpone the exhibition.
