GEICO has promoted its assistant vice president Rick Hoagland as vice president of claims, who will replace Nancy Pierce, recently appointed regional vice president in GEICO's Fredericksburg, Virginia office.

In 1994, Hoagland joined GEICO and served in various departments including sales, service, underwriting, and was selected for GEICO's executive assistant program.
During 2009, Hoagland was named as assistant vice president of claims in GEICO's Midwest regional operations in Georgia and was later appointed as assistant vice president of underwriting in 2010.
Commenting on the selection of Hoagland, GEICO's senior vice president Don Lyons said Rick has done a great job for the company in claims and underwriting.
"Rick's breadth of experience will serve him and GEICO well as he takes on this new challenge," Lyons added.
GEICO, the third largest private passenger auto insurer in the US provides coverage for 11 million private passenger auto policies and insures more than 17.5 million vehicles.
