Frost Insurance has purchased Kolkhorst Insurance Agency, an independent Houston-based insurance agency that provides a range of property and casualty, personal lines and surety products.
Commenting on the acquisition, Frost Insurance president Bruce Burdett said that the company is pleased to continue growth in the Houston area with this acquisition.
"Chris has demonstrated a proven record of leadership and success in the Houston market, and his team's enthusiasm and expertise will complement our insurance team as we expand our presence," Burdett added.
Kolkhorst Insurance Agency president Chris Kolkhorst commented, "Joining with this great Frost organization will allow us to bring our clients additional capabilities and benefits and expand our services to existing Frost clients."
Following completion of the acquisition of Kolkhorst Insurance, which has been serving clients in the Houston area since 2009, its nine employees will join Frost Insurance and will continue to work from the agency's existing location on W. Sam Houston Parkway.
Frost Insurance offers a comprehensive suite of property and casualty, group employee benefits, estate planning and business succession, personal insurance, HR consulting and outsourcing needs throughout Texas.
