Japan-based automaker Honda is planning to unveil the revamped version of S2000,the Modulo Climax at Tokyo Auto Salon in January 2013.
The car will be powered by a 2.2L 4-cylinder mated to a 6-speed close-ratio manual transmission that generates 240hp at 7800rpm and 162lbft at 6500rpm,which also powered its predecessor.
The model is expected to come with a front mid-engine rear-wheel drive(FMR)layout having an acceleration of 0-60mph in 6.4S.
Features of the convertible include the LED day-time running lights,the chrome blade on the front grill and with the revamped rear bumper.
The Honda S2000 was unveiled at the Tokyo motor show in 1995 and started production in April 1999,with its older versions being launched till 2009.
