Indian automobile manufacturer Tata Motors has launched its new sports utility vehicle (SUV) Safari Storme.
The new SUV comes equipped with a 2.2 liter Varicor engine that is turbocharged with Variable Turbine Technology (VTT) to deliver an output of 140 PS power and 320 NM torque.
Additionally, the new Safari Storme is expected to deliver fuel efficiency of 14kmpl in the 4x2 variant and 13.2kmpl in the 4x4 variant and deliver a performance of 0-100 km/hr in under 15 sec.
The security features of the new vehicle include a rigid ladder frame with hydro-formed construction, crumple zones, side intrusion beams on all four doors, dual SRS airbags, collapsible steering column and a 4 channel ABS with EBD.
Safari Storme also includes vacuum assisted independent hydraulic, ventilated disc brakes on all four- wheels, inertia switch and an auto engine immobiliser.
The new SUV will be available in four variants, LX, EX, VX (4x2 and 4x4) and in seven colour, including urban bronze, sardinia red, pearl white, pearl champagne, astern black, arctic white, arctic silver.
