Broomall, Pa.-based Kasbar National Industries Inc. - a manufacturer of high-loft fiberfill, needlepunch nonwovens and quilted fabrics — has announced it will expand its needlepunch production capacity by adding a fourth needlepunch line at its 207,000-square-foot manufacturing plant in Columbia, Tenn. The new line is expected to go on-line in the fourth quarter of 2013 and will enable the company to produce more than 30,000,000 pounds of needlepunch product per year.
Founded in 1942, Kasbar supplies product for applications including apparel and footwear, automotive, bedding, blankets, filtration, furniture, healthcare, military apparel and equipment, protective apparel, rugs and other applications.
