German apparel marketer Tom Tailor Group said, it plans to strengthen its long-term competitiveness through an accelerated verticalisation of the Group.
Tom Tailor Group has in its portfolio brands like Tom Tailor, Tom Tailor Denim, Tom Tailor Polo Team, Bonita and Bonita Men.
Effective from April 1, 2015 the marketer is putting in place a new organisational structure, which will result in empowerment of individual brands.
According to a press release, Tom Tailor Group aims to set the stage for long-term profitable growth and create optimal conditions for sustainably enhancing corporate value.
In the new organisational structure, the second management level below the management board will be expanded and strengthened significantly.
Responsibility for the individual brands will be pooled at that level, each with its own vice president in charge of all sales channels.
“This step towards consistent verticalization will enable the company to take a more targeted approach to the brands’ individual value propositions and align them more consistently with customer needs,” it added.
“At the same time the wholesale partners will benefit as well from the new structure since it will shorten processes and decision-making routes to permit faster response times,” Tom Tailor Group explained.
Marc Schumacher, who has served as chief retail officer since 2010, is stepping down from the management board of Tom Tailor Holding AG at his own request from April 30, 2015.
Daniel Peterburs, who previously held the position of chief product development officer, will support the transition process in his future role as vice president with new brand responsibilities.
As a result, the management board of Tom Tailor Holding AG will in future consist of CEO Dieter Holzer, CFO Dr Axel Rebien and a chief operating officer.
The COO will be appointed in the coming months to hold Group-wide responsibility for cross-divisional functions such as IT and sourcing.
