London-based insurer RFIB Group (RFIB) has officially launched its new representative office in Durban, South Africa, as part of its strategy to boost its operation in the sub-Saharan insurance market.
RFIB director John Hoggard has been given the responsibility to oversee the operations at new office, which is RFIB's first in Africa. John Hoggard has more than four decades experience in the South African and Zimbabwean Insurance markets.
Before joining RFIB, John established and managed South African based HIB insurance brokers, specializing in commercial property insurance and spent more than 20 years as a client of RFIB.
After starting his insurance career with the Royal Insurance Company Zimbabwe, John held management positions at David Katzen Insurance Brokers Johannesburg and CT Bowring in South Africa.
