Brazil's transport ministry approved Vale's plan to carry out $4.59 billion in railway infrastructure works, the ministry said.
The project may facilitate the transport of iron ore from Vale's $ $17.1 billion Carajas Serra Sul iron ore project, according to the ministry.
Vale is about to receive? $217 million in tax benefits under a rule of the ministry, which has been called Reidi.
