M&J Group, one of the leading high-quality garment manufacturers in Bangladesh, producing a wide range of top quality denim bottoms and some non-denim products, presented a new revolutionary technology 'Start to Measure', to assess the resources used in the production of jeans and garments.
This innovative system was presented by M&J Group in the Greenzone and Bluezone of the Munich Fabric Start exhibition, which helped the people know about current environmental issues related to the fashion industry.
The 'Start to Measure' system traces garments step-by-step producing accurate data on quantity of resources used in the production like energy, chemicals, human labor, etc.
Through this system, M&J Group collected people's opinion on ways to make fashion industry sustainable. The system is an outcome of a research that aimed at identifying a scientific solution to measure the resources used in the production of jeans and garments. It is the first of the kind system to obtain scientifically approved data about garment creation.
M&J Group's R&D head Fabio Adami Dalla Val said, "While announcing 'Start to Measure', we interviewed the Munich Fabric Start's audience on the eco-sustainability issue.
"Our goal was to talk directly with people, in order to understand what they think about the relationship between environment and fashion industry," he added.
"Regardless of the personal experiences, we received a univocal answer that companies have to invest in technology to decrease waste. That is why we created Start to Measure, the outcome of two years of work that soon will be at disposal of all brands that want to start making a real difference proceeding steadily in the direction of real sustainability," he said.
M&J Group manufactures high quality garments for leading fashion brands like Replay, H&M, New Yorker, C&A, Esprit, GAP, Old Navy and Macy's.
