Campbell’s has expanded its Australian range announcing a new line of soup bases.

The product is a liquid stock designed to help make soups more quickly. Campbell’s says soups can be ready within 30 minutes when using the base.

The new soup bases come in three flavours:

Asian – The Asian flavour is made from chicken stock with fish sauce, lemongrass, kaffir lime, coriander, chilli, galangal and garlic added. Campbell’s says it can be used to make ramen, pho, udon and other Asian soups.

Italian – This soup base is made from beef stock and tomato puree, oregano, rosemary, basil, black pepper, garlic and onion. Minestrone, Ribollita and meatball soup can be created from the base.

Moroccan – Moroccan is the third flavour base on offer and starts with vegetable stock. Cumin, coriander seed, paprika, black pepper, cinnamon, turmeric, lemon oil and garlic are then added. Campbell’s lists cocus, lentil and Moroccan lamb as appropriate uses for the base.

Campbell’s soup bases range is now available at Woolworths and Coles. The recommended retail price is $4.99 for 1 litre.
