Transdanube Industries SRL might complete its Romanian rebar mini-mill in 2016.
The total investment was US$295 million and the project will be financed from several investors.
It’s learned that the financing should be completed by the end of 2013 and constructions will be started from 2014.
The mill will consist of a 70 metric ton EAF, ladle furnace, conticaster, and a rolling mill.
It is designed to produce 8-40mm rebar. The meltshop and the rolling mill will have the annual capacity of 500,000 tons respectively.
The company believed the steel market in Europe should be improved when the mill join the market in 2016.
