Keepsoft, the provider of software for creating computer-based tests and managing home finances, today announces the release of Test Constructor 3.4, a computerized examination system which is designed for educational institutions and home use.
Test Constructor is ideal for teachers or trainers who need to create computer tests, but do not have time to learn complex media scripting, or an advanced test authoring tool. Offering a simple point-and-click environment, the program enables the user to rapidly create a test simply by clicking buttons, entering questions and answers and assigning weights for each question and answer. Test Constructor consists of the editor for filling the database with questions and answers and configuring test settings, the trainer module that runs a test using topics, questions and answers from the database, and the result administration module that collects test results from different computers over a LAN, or from the same computer and presents them for convenient analysis.
The user can create a test with an unlimited number of topics, questions and answers. Five most used question types are supported, allowing one to create a test of any kind. They are Multiple Choice (Single correct), Multiple Choice (Multiple correct), Sequence (Ordering), Matching and Fill in the Blank. Questions can be elaborated with music, sounds, images and video. Also it's possible to assign a certain weight in points to a question and answer for the program to use these settings for automatic grading of test-takers' performance.
