Disposables manufacturer in the UK, Solo Cup Europe has unveiled the new UltraClear plus press&dress range of lids, which have been designed to fit a broad selection of the company’s tumblers.
Solo Cup said UltraClear plus press&dress allows both wet and dry ingredients to be stored separately without the requirement for extra packaging. The lids are suitable for a variety of tumblers ranging from 5-20oz.
Benefits of the new press&dress range of lids include reducing the overall packaging requirement by combining two previous elements into one packaging unit, keeping food fresher for longer and increasing recycling potential by using the recycled plastic PET.
Solo Cup Europe marketing manager Rebecca Turner said the tumbler format is applicable for to go applications such as fruit salads, whole foods salads, crudité and hummus and yogurts and granola, packagingeurope.com reported.
"For operators this innovation offers great flexibility as one lid solution can be applied to multiple menu items. The combi pack is also a real winner as there is less stock to store," Turner added.
