Ken-Tool says that with the reCore a tire tech can quickly repair a damaged valve stem without replacing the sensor.

Ken-Tool Corp.'s reCore TPMS Sensor Saver System won the silver trophy in the Aftermarket & Retrofitting Category in the International Grands Prix for Automotive Innovation competition at the Equip Auto 2013 show, held in Paris, France, Oct. 16-20.

The automotive aftermarket product and equipment show hosts over 120,000 visitors from 130 countries with 1,800 exhibitors. The reCore was one of over 100 new and innovative products submitted for the competition.

Entered by Ken-Tool's distributor partner, BV Corp. France, the reCore TPMS Sensor Saver System was cited for its innovative procedure to repair a corroded or damaged TPMS valve core and stem on a wheel, with basic hand tools, without dismounting the wheel and tire.

A tire service technician can quickly and easily repair the damaged valve stem in 10-15 minutes without replacing the sensor, placing the customer's vehicle back on the street while avoiding the cost of a replacement sensor.

The reCore TPMS Sensor Saver System starter kit (P/N 29980) includes reCore TPMS Sensor Savers, installation tools and thread-lock contained in a durable blow-molded and handy plastic case.
