Packaging Group Astrapak Unveils Econo Tube

Plastic packaging material manufacturer Astrapak, through its company Consupaq, has introduced new tubing product, Econo, for its customers in the cosmetic market.

Developed in sizes such as 15ml, 25ml 50ml, 75ml, 100ml, 125ml and 150ml, the Econo tube is available off-the-shelf in a generic standard white color with white cap. It is a part of Astrapak's new ranges of 'squeeze' type tubes.

Consupaq internal sales manager Candice Mitchell said: "We have established a standard range of caps (off-the-shelf) that customers can choose from, and since we will already have tubes in stock, we would just need to work through the artwork and apply the label, which is a relatively quick process."

Astrapak said that the tube is softer and pliable as well as easier to handle and squeeze.

Mitchell added: "Low minimum order quantities will be of massive benefit to our smaller customers.

"This makes our pricing extremely competitive while offering a superior product with a fabulous on-shelf presence."

South Africa based Consupaq manufactures plastic jars, containers and tubes for the personal care and pharmaceutical industries.

Astrapak, through its facilities in all the main centers of South Africa, manufactures and distributes a range of rigid and flexible plastic packaging products.

The firm serves for food, beverage, personal care, homecare, automotive, pharmaceutical, agricultural, industrial and retail markets.
