Material Injury in Hot Plate Imports From Five Countries Is Investigated by ACBPS

The Australian Customs and Border Protection Service (ACBPS) has announced its preliminary decision regarding the antidumping (AD) duty investigation for hot rolled steel plate imports from China, Indonesia, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. Australian customs has concluded that the imports in question caused material injury to the domestic industry and has imposed securities ranging between 8.6 percent and 26 percent.

The antidumping duty investigation was initiated in February this year upon the complaint of the domestic steelmaker BlueScope Steel Limited.
