A MEG plant operated by Maruzen Petrochemical has restarted production after a maintenance turnaround and another MEG plant is scheduled to be shutdown next month.
“A MEG plant located in Yokkaichi, Japan with a production capacity of 82,000 mt/year was shutdown for a turnaround in mid-March 2013 has now been restarted on April 16, 2013,” a Maruzen Petrochemical told fibre2fashion.
“The MEG plant is currently operating at 100% capacity rates,” he added. Providing details on another MEG plant he said, “Maruzen operates another MEG plant at Chiba with a production capacity of 120,000 mt/year, which will also be shut down for maintenance for around one month from mid-May to mid-June 2013.”
