Packaging shrink film manufacturer Clysar has selected SYSPRO ERP, which enables the ready design of a system that meets the requirements of a specialized industry.
Clysar CIO Wayne Carlson said the company selected the new software for ease of use and form/feel; functionality specific to continuous batch plastics extrusion manufacturing; ease of implementation; and software and architectural flexibility.
"Due to the complexity of business requirements of Clysar and its fragmented application landscape, we privately assumed we would have to pick SAP in spite of its cost or a plastics industry specific package, such as IQMS, to reduce implementation risk," Carlson added.
SYSPRO's ERP solution is expected to address the requirements of plastics manufacturing without the requirement for customizations and third party bolt-ons.
US-based Clysar's product line includes a complete portfolio of films for both food and non-food packaging applications.
