The IMA Group Received Its First Order for a Laser-Edging Line From North America

During the International Woodworking Fair IWF in Atlanta the IMA Group received its first order for a laser-edging line from North America. An order was signed with the Canadian front-end manufacturer Schenck Architectural Imports, on 23 August for delivery of an IMA Novimat edge-gluing machine fitted with a 3 kW diode laser. According to Murat Dogan, president of IMA Canada, high-gloss edging can be processed with the machine. As a result of the investment, Schenck aims to concentrate mainly on supplying the kitchen-furniture industry. Until now, the company had been primarily engaged in glass processing but also in the import of European supply products for the kitchen- and office-furniture industry and joinery supplies.
