The event, entitled Lighting for Circadian systems: Short-Term Benefit or Long-Term Danger? will take place on 6 July at BDP's London office in Clerkenwell.

The seminar will look at the new science of chronobiology and how research is influencing lighting designers to use new lighting techniques, with dynamic lighting levels and varied colour temperatures, for workplaces, schools, hospitals and other environments.

Speakers at the event include Dr. Debra Skene, Professor of Neuroendocrinology and Chronobiology from the University of Surrey; Bob Venning from Arup Lighting; and Heinrich Dudel, Research and Development, Trilux.

The Joined up Lighting seminar series is a joint initiative between the ILP, PLDA, IALD and The Society of Light and Lighting.
