Walsin Lihwa Has Begun Hot Run of Its Annual Production Capacity

Reportedly, Taiwan's Walsin Lihwa has announced that the company has begun hot run of its annual production capacity by 350,000~400,000 tons of stainless strip annealing and pickling plant in Taichung in central Taiwan. Meanwhile, the company expects hot trial run will take about six months to complete the new projects. However, Walsin Lihwa will send stainless slab from its Yen Shui meltshop in southern Tainan to Dragon Steel Corp's Taichung works for toll-rolling into HRC, before returning the coil for pickling at the new plant. Nevertheless, the pickled coil products will expect to sell on domestic and overseas market. Currently, Walsin's Yen Shui works has an annual melting capacity of 400,000 tons. It can also produce an annual stainless wire rods production to 208,000 tons and an annual round bars production to 12,000 tons, according to the company said.
