The Lexus RX270 X Special Edition has launched, offering local buyers added styling and technology for no additional cost.
Limited to 300 cars, the X Special Edition is based on the entry-level front-wheel drive Lexus RX270 equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission and powered by a 138kW/252Nm 2.7-litre four-cylinder petrol engine.
It also matches the standard model’s manufacturer’s $69,400 price tag, despite gaining upgrades that Lexus values at over $7000.
The exterior receives a more aggressive Sports Luxury-grade front bumper, adaptive headlights, clearance and rear parking sensors, 19-inch alloy wheels and specific ‘X’ badging.
Inside, the Special Edition gets heated front seats, a head up display, illuminated sill plates and a cargo luggage tray.
Available in five exterior colours – White Pearl; Mercury Grey; Premium Silver; Starlight Black and Garnet Red – and an interior in either Ivory or Black, the Lexus RX270 X Special Edition is also available with an optional moonroof for $3000.
The latest RX-based Special Edition follows the Lexus IS250X and IS350X models released earlier in the year, which preceded the arrival of the new IS.
