Yokohama Tire Corp. will display its new Advan ultra high performance tires at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance along the Pebble Beach Golf Links in central California. Yokohoma says it is the "official tire" of the car show held on Aug. 18.
Yokohama will have a display close to the first tee. Among the highlights:
* the new Advan Sport V105 and Advan Neova AD08 R UHP tires;
* a 429-horsepower, 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL550 fitted with Advan Sport V105 tires; and
* two PlayStation race simulators featuring the soon-to-be-released Gran Turismo 6, the latest edition of the video game from Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. Yokohama is a technical partner which provided data and technical expertise on the development of the race simulation.
"The Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance is a premier event and ideal place to promote our flagship Advan brand," says Alan Holtschneider, Yokohama senior director, marketing communications. "People attending will have access to some of the most prestigious cars and motorcycles in the world and join Yokohama in celebrating this legendary automotive gathering."
Holtschneider says Yokohama's Pebble Beach Concours sponsorship agreement also includes name and logo placement on every ticket and lanyard worn by spectators and participants, ad placement in the event program, and participation in a number of Concours-related events and activities.
