Arkema exhibited its Rilsan fine powders jointly with Viking Johnson (stand 305, Hall 1) at Aquatech 2013, in Amsterdam. Aquatech is one of the world's leading trade exhibition on process, drinking and waste water technology.
Rilsan fine powders coatings have been used since 1967 in the water industry for coating pipes, pumps, valves and fittings. It is a unique high performance polyamide manufactured from a renewable resource of plant origin, castor oil.
According to the company, Rilsan fine powders coated parts withstand extreme abrasive media, the coating provides excellent protection against corrosion and mechanical impacts, and it complies with various regulations for drinking water.
Rilsan coated carbon steel is also a cost-effective and technical alternative to stainless steel providing protection and longevity in the most demanding environments, which makes it a material of choice for the seawater transportation.
Viking Johnson will be also demonstrating its enhanced large diameter products, particularly UltraGrip range, available up to DN400. A selection of mechanical couplings, flange adaptors, pipe repair products and flow control solutions will also be displayed.
