Perfecseal, a division of Bemis has introduced a new flow wrap material, PerfecPharm P232, which can achieve hermetic seals at maximum speed capabilities.
Perfecseal pharmaceutical director Georgia Mohr said the company assessed the product on Bosch flow wrap equipment to assure it would meet the desired performance level that is demanded by the healthcare market.
"The P232 flow wrap material offers a large sealing window (140°C-200°C) and the potential to run at lower temperatures than traditional materials, yet seals hermetically at speeds exceeding 300 ppm," Mohr added.
Perfecseal manufactures coextruded films, laminated films, flexible forming films, foil barrier laminations, pouches, bags, thermoformed trays, lids, labels, heat seal coated DuPont Tyvek and heat seal coated medical grades of paper.
