Rich Products Plans to Close Its Dough and Flatbread Products Manufacturing Facility

US-based Rich Products plans to close its dough and flatbread products manufacturing facility on White Street in Rochester, New York, putting 92 jobs at risk.

According to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act notice filed with the state Labor Department, the bakery facility will suspend operations on 10 October this year.

Rich Products gained ownership of the Rochester plant in 2012 after it acquired California-based manufacturer Goglanian Bakeries. The acquisition also included a facility in Chicago.

Rich Products spokesman Dwight Gram said that the work at the Rochester facility is being shifted to new production facility near Chicago.

The company noted that the affected workers will be offered severance packages and jobs at the company's other sites and it also plans to hold a job fair for the affected workers.

Rich Products specializes in non-dairy toppings and icings, cakes and desserts, bakery products, and appetizers and snacks. The company caters to the food service, in-store bakery, and retail markets worldwide.
